Scarborough Fair

Yet another summer Saturday morning,
The Men’s Team left early to the

Chess tournament,
We, the GIRLs
, went to Scarborough Fair
in the neighbor city,
To find our loved one: The Pink Lady
Round and round, we circled under the Sun.

Beatles BLACKBIRD by Fred McCarthy

“Blackbird singing in the dead of night

Take these broken wings and learn to fly

All your life

You were only waiting for this moment to arise.

Blackbird fly Blackbird fly”

What a life, this morning, feels like I went through years years back. He played another song for us, we talked about his band and his plan, to travel to China for a Country music concert, I once was a big big fan, not him, but the country music, in the campus, with one friend, we listened all the big hits and imagined we could visit Nashville someday. (Yes, I still want to go)

I bought one of his CDs,

he gladly signed on the cover sheet.

Forever and ever, Amen. (30th Grammy Award)

You know what the title picture is? It’s sage flower.

You know who is that pink lady?
Look at her:

It’s a kind of peach, pink, sweet, we call her Pink Lady.
The summer two years ago, little Flora broke her arm, I worked from home to accompany her all the days. During a Friday lunch time, I brought her to cupertino farmer’s market, besides the flowers and blueberries, we tasted the Pink Lady, we bought a lot back, we love her all the time and we miss her every summer day. We haven’t seen her this summer, that’s why we went to Scarborough Fair and we sing this song:

“Are you going to Scarborough fair?
Parsley, sage, rosemary and thyme
Remember me to one who lives there,
She once was a true love of mine”

Ever wondering why we have 2 girls and 2 boys this weekend?
Their mom went back China on business for a week, the temp single daddy needs to feed 8 chickens in the backyard, 1 hamster and 1 guinea pig in the front yard, plus 1 girl and 1 boy. Kind of hard job for him. So we decided to have the 2 boys and 2 girls to enjoy a summer festival together, that’s why they stuck two by two for the entire two days. And I kind of realized my 4 kids dream temporarily. Next time when I recommend others to try, I have some firsthand experience to share. Today’s lunch, Goose Daddy and Chicken Mom showed the same Kungfu as Panda, the famous Duck Soup Noodle:

Dinner we moved to their house, the handy daddy showed his secret strength, not only feed all the 4 young ones, also feed us two, plus some extra for grandparents. All ready with soup within one hour when we took the four to the swimming class.
Ah, life is beautiful with friends. See what we enjoyed together:
